About The Position

Eventive Sports, a leader in dedicated sports event management, is seeking a UA Gameday Operations Intern. This role will support the University of Alabama's Gameday operational plan, which includes managing campus security and parking staff, coordinating with various entities (UA Athletics, PD, DOT, FD, State Troopers, Emergency Management, Uber/Lyft, etc.), optimizing traffic flow, managing public tailgating areas, assisting with reserved parking sales and renewals, collecting and analyzing operational metrics, observing and recommending fan enhancements, providing operational assistance for Men’s Basketball, Gymnastics, Commencements, and Bid Day, and managing the official gameday website (UAGameday.com) and social media presence. The intern will also manage customer service channels including the message center, email, and web chat.

Requirements

• Self-motivated & team oriented
• Energetic, outgoing personality
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Interest in sports and/or a career in the sports industry
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Willingness to do manual labor & ability to lift 40 pounds
• Willingness to work all 7 UA home games & long hours

Responsibilities

• Operational duties – signage, cones, barricade placement
• Collection and analysis of key operational metrics
• Work with vendors to ensure quality service is provided
• Observe the fan experience and provide improvement ideas
• Other duties as assigned
• Opportunities to work other Eventive Sports events based on performance & reliability
