About The Position

This position is for a U.S. Associate in the Tax practice, available for our New York office. The role involves representing sponsors of alternative investment funds and handling the taxation of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and private equity funds and structures. A strong candidate will also have experience with international transactions. The firm is looking for self-starters and team-oriented individuals with an eagerness to learn and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school or a Tax LL.M.
Admission to and in good standing with the New York Bar.
Experience representing sponsors of alternative investment funds.
Experience with the taxation of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and/or private equity funds and structures.
Self-starters and team-oriented.
Eagerness to learn.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with international transactions.
4 to 6 years of law firm experience.
Class years 2020-2022 preferred.

Responsibilities
