About The Position

The Goddard School in Philadelphia-Spring Garden is accepting applications for an immediate full-time position for a Twos Teacher. We are committed to creating fun, hands-on learning experiences for children. Previous experience and an education-related degree are preferred. A Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. Additionally, a Lead Teacher and an Assistant Teacher are responsible to work together and in conjunction with the entire faculty. Requirements

CDA, Associates or BA in Early Childhood Education or related field
Prior classroom experience (Early Childhood)
High School Diploma
Prior childcare experience required
Pursuing degree

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment by: Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in your classroom.
Understanding and implementing, when necessary, The Goddard School’s emergency procedures.
Posting schedules that meet the children’s need for routine and learning.
Ensuring a well-run, purposeful program responsive to participant needs by: Building teamwork.
Developing lesson plans.
Managing your classroom according to The Goddard School standards.
