About The Position

We are currently seeking an energetic, dependable, and nurturing Lead Teacher for our Two-Year-Old classroom. This individual should be warm, patient, and adaptable, while also providing structure and consistency throughout the day. Our ideal candidate is a team player who understands the unique developmental needs of two-year-olds and is passionate about supporting children as they grow socially, emotionally, physically, and developmentally during this important stage.

  • Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare setting preferred
  • A CDA (Child Development Associate) or Early Childhood Credential is preferred
  • Current enrollment in an Early Childhood Education program is welcomed
  • Associate’s degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a structured yet flexible daily classroom routine
  • Create a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment for young learners
  • Provide nurturing care, supervision, and support while encouraging independence and confidence
  • Implement developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans that support learning through play
  • Support children through emotional regulation, communication development, and social interactions
  • Use positive behavior guidance strategies while maintaining clear classroom expectations
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with children, families, coworkers, and administration
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with all health and safety standards
  • Work collaboratively with co-teachers and support staff
  • Demonstrate initiative by identifying classroom needs and proactively offering support
  • Support children’s language, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development through positive interactions
