About The Position

The TWI Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of all training of all employees to the Job instructions on each machine. This includes new hire on the job training, cross training of new employees and annual training to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Ability to train others to set instructions
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Possess detailed organizational, analytical and listening skills
  • Proficient Microsoft office and computer skills

  • Associate degree
  • TWI Train the trainer course completion
  • 5 + years of manufacturing experience with an automotive company
  • Demonstrated skill in critical thinking and decision making

Responsibilities

  • Welcomes new hires on their 1st day (by timeclock) (If there are issues with clocking in the trainer must complete an exception report and give to shift supervisor)
  • Take all new hires on a plant tour to include safety awareness
  • Assist with providing proper PPE to new hires
  • Place new hire at line assigned by supervisor.
  • Conduct line specific training and review basic training. (Inspection, rework, work instructions, safety)
  • Conducts 1 week evaluation and in a timely manner.
  • Verify training (review training for all employees) Enter all training in Training Manager
  • Update Employee Score Matrix
  • Participate in and support any training auditing needs, internal and external, as necessary.
  • Train existing employees for any cross training needed and for any changes made to the SOP’s/JIB’s, new policies, and any new equipment directed by Supervisor/Manager.
  • Qualify existing operators as needed to ensure compliance with TS/ISO and Lydech requirements.
  • Provide feedback to shift supervisors about the employee’s qualifications for the operations.
  • Support all business certifications (ie. ISO 14001, TS 16949)
  • When the Trainers are not actively training a person, then they should fall into a line position.
  • All movements with employees should be cleared through the Team lead/Supervisor
  • Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules
  • Must be able to work extended hours when required
  • All other duties as assigned
