About The Position

WAVY-TV 10/WVBT FOX43 is looking for a Video News Editor to edit for all newscasts. Candidate must be good with computers and able to work under strict deadlines; some knowledge of a working television newsroom helpful. Candidate must be willing to work any and all shifts, including early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends (Saturday and Sunday).

Requirements

• Good with computers
• Able to work under strict deadlines
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Minimum one-year experience operating video editing equipment
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Must be willing to work any and all shifts, including early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
• Must be able to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, work near others, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
• Must be able to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Repetitive movements are required.
• Work may be conducted in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions.

Nice To Haves
