About The Position

Tutorific, a company with 53 years of experience in Ventura County, is expanding again and has immediate openings at our center in Camarillo. We are looking for tutors for TK, Elementary, Middle School, and High School students. Our students range from being far behind to far ahead, and they love working with us. Most need a boost of self-confidence, and that’s where your special skills come into play. We offer weekday afternoons, Monday and Wednesday, Tuesday and Thursday, or Monday through Thursday, with most hours falling between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Some positions can start as late as 3:30 PM or 4:00 PM. Tutors may also be offered Friday and weekend hours. Because of our decades of success, our tutors often receive many more hours of work than any other tutoring company can provide. Our center is spectacular, ideally designed for teaching, and is a wonderfully comfortable place to work, eliminating the need to drive from home to home.

Requirements

• Must live in Camarillo, Oxnard, or Ventura
• Must have reliable transportation to always arrive on time
• Must be committed to the value of education and the success of our students
• Must be responsible, professional, and work well with other staff
• Must be a stable person who can be a great mentor

Responsibilities

• Tutor students in Early Reading (PK through 2nd grade)
• Tutor students in Upper Math (Fundamental Math, Algebra, Geometry, and above)
• Tutor students in General subjects (Reading, Language Arts, and Math; Grades 1 – 8)
• Boost students' self-confidence
• Provide stable mentorship for students
