Dyslexia-Experienced Tutor for Fifth-Grade Student IN PERSON
About The Position
Tutor a bright, social fifth-grade student recently diagnosed with dyslexia. Provide patient, individualized support adapted to the student’s learning needs. Sessions will focus on strengthening foundational literacy and math skills, supporting homework completion, developing effective learning strategies, reducing frustration, and building academic confidence. Tutoring takes place in person at the student’s home or a local library in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The family is ready to begin tutoring and is moving to the Macomb area near Partridge Creek. The student enjoys basketball, band, and student council and is open to working with a tutor.
Requirements
- Experience supporting students with dyslexia.
- Ability to adapt instruction to individual learning needs.
