About The Position
The central role of a Writing Center Tutor is to provide academic support for students as they complete writing tasks. Our tutors play an essential role with our student success by helping students learn and understand new concepts and complete assignments. Some availability for online tutoring exists as well.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in English or a directly related field is required.
- If you love working with others, serving a variety of students and have excellent communication skills we would love to hear from you.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in English or directly field is preferred, although not required.
- Two years of one-on-one and group tutoring experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- One-on-one tutoring, group tutoring studio sessions in both in-person and online settings
- Presentations/ orientations
- Development of supplemental materials
- Completing tutor reports
- Reviewing faculty/class files & student files
- Various administrative tasks
