Assists students, either individually or in small groups, in the review of course material, solving problems and preparing for tests. Contributes to a supportive, cordial learning environment. Coordinates and/or conducts workshops and study groups for students. Conducts marketing activities such as class visits and new student orientations. Serves as a communication link and faculty liaison. Guides students in selecting and using material to meet learning needs. Maintains a weekly calendar of available hours for student appointments. Maintains instructional materials (e.g., textbooks, calculators, software, etc.). Collects and analyzes data. Participates in required tutor training. Provides supervision in the absence of a Learning Center Supervisor as delegated and assists TLC Management with recruiting, screening, hiring, orienting, mentoring, and retaining new peer (student), and/or volunteer tutors. Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. Employees are required to comply with safety regulations, procedures, protocols, OSHA standards, and wear personal protective gear if required.
