About The Position

Performs set-up, operation, and minor maintenance of CNC turret punch press equipment in assigned work area to fabricate sheet metal components from flat stock.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
3+ years of experience setting up and operating machines
Must have ability to read and interpret blueprints or drawings
Ability to read, write, and speak English

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience desired or ability to get/maintain forklift certification

Responsibilities

Perform machine set-up/changeover on CNC turret punch press equipment to produce the required product or components by making mechanical adjustments (tooling, dies) to meet product specifications
Perform first time set-up of equipment for new products through programming, profiling, and mechanical/software adjustments
Operate equipment to achieve production requirements and quality goals. Make minor adjustments to correct machine output as needed
Perform manual production operations as required, e.g., load and unload sheet metal stock, stage and deburr finished parts
Use of calipers, micrometers, gauges to inspect machine output to verify proper part configuration and workmanship standards are being met
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance activities in accordance with machine operation manual or maintenance work instruction
Maintain neat and orderly work areas and comply with all safety rules
