Turret Operator
About The Position
This role involves operating a Turret machine to pick, pull, and move whole pallets of products while adhering to all safety standards, policies, and procedures. The position also includes staging and putting away materials within a warehouse environment. Requirements
- Ability to understand instructions in the country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs (weight may be more dependent upon facility).
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
- Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud.
Responsibilities
- Pick, pull, and move whole pallets of products while operating a Turret machine.
- Follow all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Place materials to be staged and put away in a warehouse environment.
- Write the order number, name of the receiver, and quantity of case on every order, box, pallet, packages and bins pulled.
- Report bad tickets immediately to the appropriate leader.
- Pull all orders in a timely manner.
- Assist with running freight and locating product once orders are pulled.
- Report broken pallets to the supervisor.
- Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheet.
- Monitor battery charge, maintain and clean batteries, and leave material handling equipment at the proper charging station.
- Work with other machinery and material handling equipment.
