Turret Operator
About The Position
The Turret Operator picks, pulls, and moves whole pallets of products using a turret machine while following regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. The role involves staging and putting away materials in a warehouse environment. Operators may also work with other machinery and material-handling equipment. Requirements
- Ability to understand instructions in the country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C at cold-storage sites or up to 100°F/37°C at dry-storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds; the required weight may be greater depending on the facility.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
- Comfort working with varying noise levels, which can sometimes be loud.
Responsibilities
- Write the order number, receiver’s name, and case quantity on every order, box, pallet, package, and bin pulled.
- Report bad tickets promptly to the appropriate leader.
- Pull all orders in a timely manner.
- After orders are pulled, help run freight and locate product.
- Report broken pallets to a supervisor.
- Complete the daily forklift maintenance/check sheet.
- Monitor battery charge, maintain and clean batteries, and leave material-handling equipment at the proper charging station.
- Work with other machinery and material-handling equipment as needed.
- Follow regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
