This role involves operating a turret machine to punch and prepare material for job orders, ensuring consistency with customer requirements. Requirements

• HS Diploma/Equivalent
• Minimum 1 year similar work experience desired.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work with small hand tools.
• Must be dependable.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Comfortable working 10 hours a day.

Responsibilities

• Reviews job orders to determine customer specifications.
• Sets up turret equipment, including turning on machine, water power, and hydraulics, and resetting the machine to zero.
• Modifies computer programs to meet job specifications.
• Sets up tooling specifications.
• Performs incoming inspection on sheared material prior to punching, documenting any material that does not meet specifications via a "blue sheet" and obtaining clearance before continuing if problems are identified.
• Operates the turret at an appropriate tempo to meet production quantities while maintaining quality standards.
• Performs first piece inspection on newly punched material to ensure equipment is properly set.
• Delivers finished product to the next operation within the cell.
• Orders tooling parts through communication with CAD as needed.
• Works as part of a team, continuously seeking to identify and eliminate non-value added processes and waste.
• Works in a safe manner, utilizing all required personal protective equipment.
• Assists in all other areas of the cell.
• Maintains flexibility to transfer to other cells to assist when needed.
