This role is responsible for the timely completion of assigned projects, ensuring financial performance, and achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction. The position involves planning and analyzing projects, establishing schedules and parameters, and setting procedures for complex service applications. It also includes creating estimates, generating proposals, managing project logistics from ordering parts to scheduling labor, and coordinating billing. The Turnkey Project Manager will manage service projects from inception to completion, qualify subcontractor proposals, and assist the sales team as needed. Effective communication with customers, their representatives, and internal staff is crucial, as is maintaining customer satisfaction through issue resolution. The role also ensures safety compliance for all staff and subcontractors according to Trane and OSHA policies. Travel to customer job sites is less than 5%.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in project management
  • Computer skills are essential
  • Highly organized and strongly customer service oriented

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in HVAC or related
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in contracting processes and estimating associated with the installation of HVAC systems and managing subcontractors

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for timely completion of assigned projects, financial performance, and the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Plan and analyze assigned projects, establish schedules, project parameters, and set procedures to accomplish system objectives, involving complex service applications
  • Create estimates and generate proposals
  • Entering projects, ordering parts, tracking parts, scheduling labor internally and with customer, reviewing completion of projects and billing coordination
  • Responsible for entering service estimates, issuing purchase orders, and generating work orders
  • Manage service projects from estimate to completion
  • Receive and qualify subcontractor proposals
  • Assist Sales develop projects as needed
  • Communicates with customers and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff
  • Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff
  • Ensure that all assigned staff and subcontractors are working in a safe manner per Trane and OSHA policies
  • Less than 5% travel to customer job sites is required
