About The Position

The Turndown Attendant is a professional with strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintain the highest level of cleanliness. This role combines the precision of a master housekeeper with the intuition of a hospitality artist, ensuring every element, from pillow placement to ambient lighting, curates an atmosphere of effortless luxury. By delivering impeccable service, the Steward will uphold La Bahia Hotel & Spa’s service standards (inspired by Forbes) while elevating our beachfront property.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience.
  • Endurance to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances.
  • Ability to knee and bend for long periods of shifts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable in varying lighting conditions.
  • Capability to lift, push, and pull a moderate amount of weight (Up to 50lbs).
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute signature turndown service with exacting standards: duvet folded at 45-degree angel with custom chocolate placements, pillows plumped to firm/soft preferences, and slippers positioned bedside with soles facing outwards.
  • Create mood-enhancing environment by drawing curtains with precision folds, lighting set to 25%, etc.
  • Refresh ice buckets with signature crystal carafes.
  • Restock minibar with guest preference data.
  • Pillow mist spritzed lightly on linens.
  • Charging cables coiled in leather holders.
  • Nightstand water carafes at 80% capacity with lemon wedge.
  • Navigate rooms with "silent service" protocols: no knocking after 9:30 PM (use PMS occupancy alerts) and fold discarded clothing using Savile Row techniques.
  • Document guest preferences (e.g., extra blankets, opened windows) for future stays.
  • Conduct evening refresh cleaning: remove all traces of day service (empty glasses, used towels, etc.), vacuum high-traffic areas with noise-controlled equipment, and aligned all items to geometric placement standards.
  • Work carefully and follow safety rules.
  • Maintain impeccable grooming standards, wearing the assigned uniform exactly as specified (proper fit, cleanliness, and presentation at all times.
  • Wear the official hotel lapel pin prominently as part of the uniform requirement, unless embroidered onto uniform.
  • Perform all other duties that may be assigned as needed by your manager.
