About The Position
The purpose of this position is to expose the employee to the daily facets of golf course maintenance. This position will challenge them to the day-to-day challenges of managing turf grass in the transition region of the United States.
Requirements
- Must be able to operate equipment safely and understand the intended use of that equipment.
- Must be in good physical condition.
- Willing to work outside in inclement weather.
- Ability to lift/carry 50lbs.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance tasks relative to the care, maintenance, protection and preservation of any area of the golf course including greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and surrounding out of play areas.
- Mowing, seeding, sodding, aerating, topdressing, irrigation repair, mechanics, hand-watering, Bermuda grass greens management, spraying, fertilizing, bunker maintenance, and other related job tasks.
- Train new employees on the proper use of mowing equipment that work on a seasonal basis.
