About The Position

Under direct supervision and / or advisement, the Turbine Operator 1 operates and maintains gas turbine packages and related equipment for the company. This role requires extensive travel, working on a rotational schedule of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, with additional travel time before and after shifts. The position involves operating and maintaining gas turbine packages, ensuring good housekeeping, troubleshooting equipment and human-machine interfaces, and understanding software utilization. The operator must conduct work in accordance with safety rules, standard operating procedures, and workplace policies, and may assist with evaluating operational readiness, implementing efficient working tasks, and the installation and commissioning of equipment. Daily completion of operational logs and performing external visual checks are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing, including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
Employment is contingent upon meeting the company's driving standards, including an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with the company's policy.
Daily overtime is required, and in-person, predictable attendance.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
U.S. High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year of previous gas turbine controls/instrumentation/electrical experience required.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend fundamental English.
Ability to read electrical/controls drawings.
Ability to attend, participate, and successfully complete the scheduled New Hire Safety training, including but not limited to H2S, Powered Industrial, and basic First Aid and CPR training.
Attends and successfully completes annual safety recertification training.
Ability to work within a team concept to successfully complete assigned tasks.
Ability to take instruction well and interact with other employees in a positive manner within the framework of assigned work groups.
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
Fully knowledgeable, compliant, and takes initiative to promote and work with digital platforms including Active Learner, Paycom, KPA, and other company-mandated systems.
For new hires, ability to quickly learn company platforms.
Possess strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills.
Able to communicate in a technical manner around clients.
Fundamental knowledge of equipment controls and logic.

Nice To Haves

Electrical Generation Theory or Navy GSE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for performing external visual checks of equipment, including but not limited walkaround inspections.
Daily completion of operational logs per standard operating procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
