Full Time: Monday- Friday Day Shift (6am - 2:30pm) The Tumbler Operator operates bowl tumblers, high speed tumblers, burnisher, parts dryers, and other fabrication machinery to assist in the refining process of products manufactured by the company. The Tumbler Operator follows established procedures to ensure processes meet all ISO requirements, stated tolerances, and required inspection criteria by performing the following duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, prefer business degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years' experience operating machine shop equipment.
  • Basic math and decimal places
  • Know how to use gages, calipers, measuring tools, and clean sharp edges.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet production quotas
  • Computer and Microsoft Knowledge
  • Ability to pass pre-employment & random drug screenings

Responsibilities

  • Operates bowl tumblers, high speed tumblers, and other fabrication shop and machine shop machinery and equipment
  • Reads and follows shop packets and job travelers to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
  • Observes machine operation to detect part defects or machine malfunction
  • Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust or scale from parts
  • Verifies conformance of finished part to specifications
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Fabrication Team Lead
  • Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
  • Performs prescribed preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines as required and as trained by Fabrication Team Lead
  • Follow company safety procedures and embrace a culture of safety within the machine shop.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required
