About The Position

The Tufting Set-Up Technician is responsible for setting up tufting machines according to production specifications, performing routine inspections and maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role involves collaborating with operators, maintaining records, and assisting in training. The technician will perform tasks such as blade and needle changes, maintain a clean work area, and ensure efficient workflow and production goals are met. They must also notify their supervisor of any issues related to safety, quality, or productivity. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

Capable of quickly identifying and addressing issues in the tufting process.
Works well in a team environment and communicates effectively with other team members.

Nice To Haves

At least one-year previous experience in textile manufacturing or tufting processes.

Responsibilities

Set up tufting machines according to production specifications, including yarn threading, needle bar adjustments, and pattern changes.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure machines operate efficiently.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
Collaborate with operators to ensure proper machine operation and product quality.
Maintain accurate records of setups, maintenance, and production changes.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Assist in training new technicians or operators as needed.
Perform blade changes, needle changes, etc.
Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
Follow all safety guidelines.
Ensure efficient workflow and production goals are met.
Notify supervisor immediately of any safety, quality, or productivity issues.
Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
