About The Position

Ingenyx, a leading global provider of product development and production services for medical device manufacturers, is seeking a Tubing Inspector/Cutter for its 2nd shift. The company specializes in innovations for extrusions, catheters, balloons, sheath/dilator sets, sutures, braids, and resins. This role involves inspecting tubing for visual defects using microscopes, accurately recording data for traceability and quality assurance, and rotating to different areas as needed, including flushing and cutting processes. Requirements

  • Basic math (addition, subtraction, and division) and assembly skills.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work as part of an effective team.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and have good vision for inspection purposes.
  • Ability to sit/stand during inspection and cutting processes, rotating between as needed.
  • Occasional lifting from 0.5 pounds to 25 pounds necessary/Max 40 lbs. with assistance when needed.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Intermediate and final inspection of tubing and tubing prototypes.
  • Cross-trained in the flushing and tubing cutting process.
  • Accurate recording of data used in traceability reporting, statistical process data collection, customer compliance, and quality assurance of medical products.
  • Packaging of material.
  • Inspection of tubing for visual defects using microscopes, monitoring microscope and box light.
  • Cutting tubes to specified lengths manually and using automated tubing and braided tubing cutters.
  • Preparing tubes for a cleaning process after the removal of the mandrel, which may involve individual hanging or bundling of tubes.
