About The Position

Infosys Consulting is currently seeking Consultants for its Tech Transformation practice. The Consultant will lead project teams at client engagements to deliver the vision of driving value through IT financial cost modeling and management. This role involves governing and managing IT financial planning and forecasting, monitoring and preparing executive-level analysis of financial results, integrating with the Purchasing department for IT vendor spend, and being responsible for financial modeling and metrics of IT non-HR spend. The position also requires oversight of IT costing strategies to ensure clients understand the total cost of ownership, ROI of IT projects, and intercompany allocation strategies. The consultant will develop financial modeling/analysis, identify opportunity costs, serve as a thought partner to IT leadership for optimized cost management, and analyze the financial impact of emerging technologies. Additionally, the role champions the strategic direction of the IT organization, articulates a clear financial vision, and drives IT cost management discipline through opportunity cost identification, continuous improvement, and methods to optimize spend and ROI. The consultant will also champion improving the maturity of governance, portfolio management, and workforce management to drive efficiencies and manage costs appropriately.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider four years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
  • Certified TBMA with a minimum 5+ years’ proven experience in IT Finance or IT Strategy Consulting positions in leading management consulting firms
  • Significant and extensive people leadership experience managing integrated and high-performing teams
  • Must exhibit a leadership style that exhibits strategic thinking, collaboration, direct communication, and results orientation
  • Demonstrates executive-level written and verbal communication skills with exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills

Nice To Haves

  • MBA degree or Masters’s Degree at an accredited university
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Demonstrable experience leading IT Cost Management or Technology Business Management (TBM) teams
  • Experience with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles in IT
  • Understanding of IT industry, particularly in cloud and network services, pricing and economics, procurement, and operations
  • Expertise in financial and cost management systems expertise (i.e.: Apptio, Nicus, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Govern and manage IT financial planning and forecasting.
  • Monitor and prepare an executive-level analysis of financial results on a regular basis including assessment of expected performance against established goals and actual outcomes.
  • Integration with the Purchasing department representing IT vendor spend as appropriate within the supply chain process.
  • Responsible for financial modeling and metrics of IT non-HR spend.
  • Oversight of IT costing strategies to ensure that internal customers understand the total cost of ownership on IT project consumption, components of Return on Investment of IT- related projects, and intercompany allocation strategy of these costs when / if appropriate.

  • Serves as a thought partner to IT leadership to influence optimized cost management outcomes and solutions for IT services.
  • Analyze the financial impact of emerging technologies (i.e. cloud, AI, robotics).
  • Champions the strategic direction of the IT organization and articulates a clear, concise strategic financial vision and direction; helps others understand the vision, values, and their importance.
  • Drives IT cost management discipline via opportunity cost identification, continuous improvement, and methods to optimize spend and ROI.
  • Champions improving the maturity of governance, portfolio management and workforce management to drive efficiencies and manage costs appropriately.
