About The Position

The TT QA Engineer will ensure that the Quality Control plan is in place and effective for assigned area(s) and that work instructions are accurate and in compliance with Central PoMs and IATF. This role ensures Plant compliance to Corporate Quality standards and Strategic Quality Objectives. The TT QA Engineer provides support to the assigned area management team, sister plants, and Central and local requests. This role leads in data analysis and provides support for root cause evaluation. The TT QA Engineer analyzes benchmark results of internal cross-plant comparisons concerning quality objectives and cost using the Global Quality Score Card (GQSC), Central Controlling or Customer Service reports. They perform statistical and capability analysis of data, and present findings in a report format. This role leads and assists with TS16949 certification and compliance, and supports local QMS requirements and departmental work instructions (creation, revision and maintenance) along with other Quality Objectives. The TT QA Engineer provides support and assistance with 4D and 8D investigations and root cause analysis, and supports and promotes local and global Quality initiatives, steering and leading Quality projects. They ensure that yearly assigned Gauge R&R studies are performed and reported, and provide support and follow-up analysis for FOCUS and FAM topics. The role performs capability studies and analysis for NAR new equipment and processes release. They prepare for and support yearly audits including Internal, Customer, PPS and IATF. The TT QA Engineer provides support for PCT, sister plants and Central requests. They are responsible for tracking audit findings for the assigned area and follow-up to ensure corrective actions are in place and implemented according to committed timing. The role performs other duties as directed by the QA Engineering Manager and QM Department Manager. This role initiates corrective actions for deviations from set Quality objectives, controls their effectiveness and sustainability through the application of standard Quality Core Tools such as Structured Problem Solving (SPS), 8D, Lessons Learned, Audits, FMEA. Limited Local and International Travel is expected. The TT QA Engineer ensures all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored. NOTE: May not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • Safety procedures/ guidelines must be always adhered to.
  • This includes safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes.

Responsibilities
