About The Position

U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services is a leading provider of corporate trust services globally, serving clients with trustee, agency, escrow, document custody, and money market issuing services through its extensive network of domestic and international offices. Within this division, the Collateralized Debt Obligation (CDO) and Global Structured Finance (GSF) groups specialize in structured finance vehicles. These groups offer services including Trust Reporting, which involves reviewing deal documents, establishing cashflow priorities, collecting asset activity data, reporting to bondholders, and handling trust tax reporting when necessary. The Trust Reporting function is crucial for managing the financial operations and compliance of these complex vehicles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet established deadlines in a dynamic working environment with minimal supervision
  • This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret trust indentures with regard to reporting requirements.
  • Create technical report specifications from indenture language.
  • Set up payment calculations in a variety of in-house systems.
  • Receive, map and reconcile periodic collateral data.
  • Make tax elections, file for EIN’s, and track residual holder transfers as required.
  • Perform portfolio compliance tests on a selection of structured fixed income deals (trade testing) as required.
  • Compile monthly, quarterly and annual payment and/or tax reports.
  • Coordinate with operations teams to ensure correct payments are received and made.
  • Perform quality control review of reports, meeting timeliness and accuracy standards.
  • Engage in frequent interaction with asset managers, investors, auditors and rating agencies.
