Trust & Compliance Operations Manager

Zocks
$150,000 - $175,000Remote

About The Position

Zocks is the #1 AI assistant for financial advisors, helping them automate operational work and grow their business. Over 5,000 firms use Zocks to transform client conversations into completed work. This role is an opportunity to shape the product, the company, and the way the financial services industry operates. Zocks sells into compliance-sensitive financial services buyers who require rigorous security and compliance diligence. Currently, this diligence work falls on individual Account Executives (AEs) without a dedicated owner, shared knowledge base, or visibility into business costs. The Trust & Compliance Operations Manager will own this function end-to-end, managing the data room, trust center, and VDDQ/RFP response process. This role aims to transform diligence from a deal-blocking bottleneck into a well-run, self-service function that shortens sales cycles and reinforces buyer trust.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience owning VDDQs/RFPs/RFIs end-to-end, preferably in a regulated B2B SaaS environment.
  • Working knowledge of security, privacy, and compliance frameworks relevant to financial-services vendors (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, GLBA/Reg S-P, SEC/FINRA vendor oversight).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical and legal details into clear, customer-ready language under deadline pressure.
  • Experience building repeatable processes and structure (e.g., data room taxonomy, knowledge base, SLAs) rather than solely handling diligence as reactive firefighting.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Security, Legal, Engineering, and Product teams to source accurate information without deep technical expertise in each domain.
  • Experience interacting directly with prospects' and customers' security, compliance, and vendor-management teams, including participation in diligence calls.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in or selling to financial services, wealthtech, or another regulated industry.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of accountability for all vendor due diligence questionnaires (VDDQs), RFPs, and RFIs for new business, renewals, and expansions.
  • Take full ownership of response drafting, intake, internal review, and submission, removing this burden from individual AEs.
  • Track all open requests against defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and proactively flag at-risk deals to Sales leadership.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of pre-approved, audit-ready answers to recurring security, privacy, and compliance questions.
  • Ensure the knowledge base is continuously updated with policy changes, product updates, or infrastructure modifications.
  • Partner with the Engineering team to scope and launch a self-service trust center once the knowledge base and processes are mature.
  • Own the structure, upkeep, taxonomy, document versioning, and access controls for the due diligence data room.
  • Ensure all documents within the data room accurately reflect Zocks' current security and compliance posture.
  • Act as a liaison between Security, Legal, and Product teams and the Sales/Customer Success teams to ensure accurate and current information is provided.
  • Build relationships with subject-matter experts across internal functions to streamline information flow.
  • Define and publish an SLA for DDQ/RFP turnaround times and ensure adherence.
  • Report quarterly on deals unblocked or accelerated by the function, quantifying the impact in terms of Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).
