Requirements

  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit and talk or hear.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Examine material prior to assembly to make sure defective lumber is not included in any of the manufacturing of our trusses
  • Offload and sort materials onto designated carts and organizing the material for the job sequence
  • Complete the tasks on the assembly line for each job.
  • Put to use the various saws including the computer controlled Cybersaw, Spidasaw or Radial Arm saw for accurate cutting
  • Execute operation on the MiTek truss assembly table including specified board and web placement using the Virtek setup system
  • Operates Roof glider press, finished truss conveyor and automated truss stacker
  • Perform gable assembly using air nailers and staplers
  • Keep the manufacturing floor clear and safe during production line - attending to any housekeeping duties that may incur on the floor.
  • Immediately reports all accidents, injuries and incidents of damage, to merchandise, buildings and equipment and customer property to the Operations Manager.
  • Knows and practices safe and proper lifting, carrying and material maneuvering practices.
