About The Position

Sunpro is seeking a motivated Truss Foreman to join our team. This role is responsible for driving the efficient and profitable performance of Truss Laborers by applying effective management principles and in accordance with customer needs and organizational priorities. The Truss Foreman will provide on-site supervision of floor and roof trusses, manage individual and team performance through evaluation and training, and assist in recruitment and onboarding. This position requires translating work orders into quality finished products and may involve performing duties of a Truss Laborer or Sawyer as needed. The ideal candidate will be a safety champion, maintain a clean working environment, and adhere to company policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong supervisory skills and team management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Practical mathematic and measuring skills.
  • Able to function effectively as part of a high-performance production team.
  • Ability to achieve performance objectives in a time-sensitive and quality-centered environment.
  • Demonstrate initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Visualizes, defines, plans, communicates, and implements Sunpro’s vision and core values.
  • Provides on-site supervision of floor and roof trusses in accordance with customer expectations and company procedures.
  • Drives individual and team performance through effective evaluation, training and management of Truss Laborers and related positions.
  • Assists in the effective recruitment, onboarding, and development of new employees.
  • Analyzes individual and team’s performance to identify skill gaps and training needs.
  • Tracks, collects, and submits all necessary data for the timely, error-free processing of payroll.
  • Successfully translates work orders and building instructions into a quality finished product.
  • Perform duties of Truss Laborer, Sawyer, etc. as needed.
  • Accurately cuts angles in wood for trusses.
  • Hammers gussets/plates onto trusses.
  • Runs trusses into roller machine.
  • Moves and stack trusses.
  • Operates equipment as trained and in accordance with designated safety standards.
  • Serves as a safety champion.
  • Maintains a clean working environment.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook, etc.
  • Perform other duties as required.
