About The Position

Cascade Manufacturing Company is hiring a full-time, on-site Truss Assembler at its manufacturing plant in Tyler, Texas. The role primarily involves assembling light-gauge steel trusses and may also include work as a Sawyer, Catcher, or Stacker. Pay starts at $19.00 per hour. A pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check are required.

Cascade Mfg Co, established in 1953, manufactures wood and cold-formed steel trusses for markets across the Midwest, South, and Southeastern United States and beyond. Its steel division manufactures TrusSteel cold-formed steel trusses and prefabricated components for commercial construction.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16 of an inch.
• Positive attitude and desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Reliable and consistent attendance.
• Must complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in carpentry, framing, and/or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Stage precut material and screws for assembly.
• Set up the jig and position precut material by hand for precise placement.
• Connect joints by sinking screws with a handheld screw gun and/or screw gantry.
• May label, band, and stand finished trusses upright.
• May operate a band saw to cut material to specifications.
• May catch, stack, and label cut material.
