Truss Assembler
About The Position
Assembler I fabricates component parts or assembles finished products according to customer specifications. The role secures and maintains the correct component parts and supplies needed for operations. The employee completes work area setup, assembles products to instructions and quality standards, operates hand tools, and handles completed products according to established procedures. The position also includes inspecting materials and finished products, maintaining production records, following safety and quality procedures, and keeping the work environment clean and organized.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
- Six months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred; no minimum experience is required.
- Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
Responsibilities
- Complete work area setup.
- Fit parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
- Operate hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
- Stack completed products according to established procedures and, when required, cover, label, and band components or finished products.
- Ensure the work area is safe, clean, and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
- Complete the pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and report problems or concerns.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Maintain production records as required.
- Check materials and finished products to ensure they comply with standards.
- Perform duties in accordance with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
- Participate in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
