About The Position

The Truss Assembler I (2nd shift) is an entry-level production position responsible for assisting in the assembly of trusses and structural building components. Hours for this position are 5:00PM to 1:45AM. This role supports manufacturing operations by preparing materials, staging components, and assisting with assembly activities while learning production processes and equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and interested in developing skills within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, carpentry, or production environments
  • Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
  • Experience reading shop drawings or production instructions

Responsibilities

  • Assist in assembling trusses and structural components according to work orders and specifications
  • Stage lumber, connector plates, and other materials needed for production
  • Support assembly team members by preparing and organizing materials for production runs
  • Read and follow shop drawings, production documents, and work instructions
  • Learn and assist with operation of equipment used in the assembly process
  • Verify materials and components are available and properly prepared for assembly
  • Assist with inspections to ensure products meet quality standards
  • Follow established production procedures and work instructions
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Assist with housekeeping activities, including keeping workstations and staging areas clean and orderly
  • Report safety concerns, damaged materials, or equipment issues promptly
  • Participate in required training and skill development programs
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and operational efficiency
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
