About The Position

This role involves managing the truck yard operations, ensuring efficient flow of linehaul drivers and trailers, maintaining security, and acting as a point of contact between internal teams and external carriers. The associate will also perform warehouse sortation activities as needed.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Display ability to work as a Team.
Able to work under pressure.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Have the ability to follow instructions.
Be willing to work overtime when needed.
Be willing to work and be trained in all aspects of the operation.
Detail Oriented.
Must Be Flexible.
Good Communication Skills.

Post-Secondary education in a related field or program would be an asset.

Responsibilities

Establish face to face contact with Linehaul drivers, checking them into the yard physically and virtually via Customer e-tools.
Assign Linehaul carriers optimal parking positions that maximize truck yard capabilities.
Ensure no unauthorized yard entry by non-Customer Linehaul carriers.
Prevent truck yard congestion by not allowing Linehaul carriers to drop trailers in the yard if not authorized by the Customer.
Maintain close coordination with the warehouse dock POC and dispatch Linehauls to the warehouse and to their assigned door as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Become the shift point of contact between internal business units and external Customer Linehaul carriers, providing necessary details to address operational defects and escalations.
Ensure compliance with Customer daily reporting requirements.
Ensure proper site security is maintained and report deviations if found.
Perform other duties as assigned, including warehouse sortation activities.
