Truck Transfer Driver
About The Position
Safely operate company vehicles, including commercial trucks requiring a CDL. Transfer trucks, tractors, and other company vehicles between assigned locations. Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Report any mechanical issues, damage, or safety concerns immediately. Maintain compliance with all applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Department of Transportation requirements, and company driving policies. Ensure proper completion of required logs, inspection reports, and trip documentation as applicable. Maintain professional communication with management, dispatch, customers, and dealership personnel. Keep assigned vehicles clean and presentable when possible. Assist with basic vehicle movement on dealership property when needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL (as required by assigned vehicle type).
- Current medical certification and ability to maintain driving qualification standards.
- Acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Ability to pass company background checks and any required pre-employment screenings.
- Strong commitment to safety and professionalism.
- Dependable, punctual, and flexible schedule availability.
Nice To Haves
- Prior commercial driving experience preferred.
