About The Position

Pape’ Kenworth, a premier medium and heavy-duty truck and equipment dealer in the West, is seeking an Experienced Truck Technician to join their team. This role involves maintaining and repairing medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high standards. The technician will support customer success by keeping trucks running smoothly and maximizing uptime. Daily tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, repairing or rebuilding major components such as cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems. The position offers opportunities for skill improvement alongside other trained technicians in a fully equipped shop with the right tools, training, and support.

Requirements

2 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
Basic computer knowledge.
Self-motivation and assertiveness.
Ability to work under little or no supervision.
Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
Must provide own tools.

Nice To Haves

Diesel tech degree and a mechanical aptitude/background.
Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
Cummins and MX software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintaining and repairing medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues.
Repairing or rebuilding major components such as cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems.
Ensuring every job is completed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Supporting customer success by keeping their trucks running smoothly and maximizing uptime.
