About The Position

Pape’ Kenworth is seeking a Premier Truck Technician / Mechanic for their San Leandro, CA location. This role is for the swing shift, working Monday – Friday, 1:30pm – 10pm. Requirements

7 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks.
Experience with engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
Basic computer knowledge.
Self-motivation and assertiveness.
Ability to work under little or no supervision.
Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

Oversee and perform precision diagnostics and repairs on medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks.
Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmissions, axles, steering, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems.
Execute preventive maintenance programs.
Provide guidance and mentorship to other technicians.
Uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.
Minimize customer downtime and ensure repairs are completed correctly.
Maintain operational excellence within the shop.
Promote teamwork and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
