About The Position

The Truck Service Category Specialist at BP Products N.A. Inc. will drive the strategic development and performance of the truck service retail category, leveraging data and customer insights to optimize offerings and enhance the customer experience.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Retail Category Management.
  • Experience in Retail Territory Development.
  • Proven Retail Training Skills, including curriculum development and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement category strategies for truck services retail, aligning with overall business objectives and market trends.
  • Conduct in-depth analytical reviews of category performance, identifying opportunities for growth, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Apply customer data and insights to understand truck driver needs and preferences, informing product and service development.
  • Create compelling data visualizations and interpretations to communicate category performance, insights, and recommendations to customers.
  • Collaborate digitally with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and sales, to ensure seamless execution of category initiatives.
  • Apply Commercial Competence to assess market dynamics, competitive landscape, and pricing strategies within the truck service retail sector.
  • Proactively share industry knowledge and advocate for guidelines within the organization.
  • Engage in negotiation planning and preparation for vendor agreements, partnerships, and service contracts.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong partner relationships with suppliers and service providers to secure favorable terms and innovative solutions.
  • Oversee retail category management activities, including product assortment, merchandising, and promotional planning for truck service retail offerings.
  • Contribute to retail territory development by identifying new market opportunities and optimizing existing service locations.
  • Develop and deliver retail training programs to equip front-line staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively sell and service truck-related products.
