About The Position

This position is responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance on diesel engine trucks and trailers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

Current Arkansas Driver’s License
Pass Tyson Yard/Lot Driver Assessment
Basic mechanical or maintenance skills
Supply your own tools for minimum maintenance
Ability to lift 60-100 pounds
Ability to work on stairs and ladders up to 20 feet
Ability to bend, stretch, reach
Ability to work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors
Ability to use basic electrical, pneumatic and hand tools
Ability to read and understand policies, procedures and regulations
Ability to document information
Ability to communicate with others written and verbally
1 year mechanical or maintenance experience or equivalent technical certificate in mechanical field from accredited school listed in application
Minimum tool list will be required to be accepted for this position
One year electrical/electronic experience or equivalent technical certificate in electrical/electronic field from accredited school required
Bidder cannot have over 6 points to be considered for this position
Must not have a Written Warning within 6 months of bid date

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers to include oil changes, greasing, repairing or replacing semi tires, brake repair or replacement on semi-trucks and trailers.
Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures.
