About The Position

The truck mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of mobile equipment such as trucks and trailers, including their upkeep, repair, and refurbishment.

Requirements

  • DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent training.
  • PEP card.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in heavy vehicle mechanics.
  • Proficient in hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to use computerized diagnostic tools.
  • Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety (OHS) standards and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy vehicles and mobile equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective inspections according to company standards.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Conduct functional tests to ensure proper operation of the equipment.
  • Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the safety and efficiency of operations
