Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of production experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate tractor-trailers, straight trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational compliance.
  • Ability to accurately complete logs, reports, and inventory records.
  • Ability to work a 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including: Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and driving, Continuous use of hands, Occasional climbing, stooping, and kneeling, Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience operating yard trucks or tractor-trailers.
  • Experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety requirements.
  • Inventory control or warehouse management experience.
  • Forklift certification or related equipment certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate tractor-trailer trucks, straight body trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and floor jacks.
  • Move trailers to and from shipping and receiving dock areas efficiently and safely.
  • Perform required DOT and company pre-trip inspections and maintain all related logs and records.
  • Maintain daily trailer yard inventory and complete trip reports.
  • Inspect trailer loads to ensure products are properly secured before closing and sealing trailers.
  • Place required documentation, including bills of lading and other shipping paperwork, on trailers as needed.
  • Assist with product transfers between warehouse storage racks and trucks when necessary.
  • Maintain dock areas and surrounding grounds, including: Removing debris, Sweeping, Snow and ice removal, Inspecting trailer restraints and dock equipment, Performing light maintenance and painting activities as needed.
  • Follow all safety, housekeeping, hygiene, and personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Report unsafe conditions, defective equipment, and workplace injuries immediately.
  • Support inventory control, order management, and other warehouse-related projects as assigned.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including pallet retrieval and organization.
