Requirements

  • Proficiency in operating tractors and trailers safely.
  • Experience performing DOT pre-trip inspections.
  • Understanding of temperature control systems.
  • Ability to monitor and manage fluid levels.
  • Basic equipment maintenance skills.
  • Attention to detail to uphold sanitation and safety standards.
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for addressing equipment issues.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with company safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Adeptly operating trucks and securely hitching and unhitching trailers with precision on our property.
  • Managing key equipment within the tractor and trailer.
  • Monitoring vital systems.
  • Performing DOT pre-trip inspections to guarantee everything meets regulatory standards.
  • Checking fluid levels and maintaining detailed logs.
  • Routinely sweeping and sanitizing trailers to uphold cleanliness and food safety.
  • Reporting any equipment issues to the transportation supervisor and on-site technicians.
  • Fostering effective relationships within the department and community.
