About The Position

The Truck Driver is responsible for knowing the assigned geographical area and operating the vehicle in accordance with applicable state and federal statutes and guidelines. The driver delivers merchandise to stores and sold merchandise to customers, performs special pickups and deliveries, picks up vehicles at the garage, and handles similar activities. The role also involves loading truck deliveries and sold merchandise in an organized manner, cleaning and securing the vehicle and equipment, and conducting daily inspections of oil, water, tires, and other vehicle items to maintain good operating condition. The driver must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public.

Requirements

• One year of experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van, or an equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Valid DOT medical card.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (desired but not required).
