Truck Driver
About The Position
This position is for a CDL driver. No overnights required. Work schedule is Monday-Friday. Daily driving requirements up to 14 hours with 10 hours off. The position requires the safe operation of a Truck and compliance with all DOT regulations. The driver will efficiently manage their daily work schedule to ensure on-time deliveries and load appointments while working within the confines of hours of service. Responsibilities include maintaining an accurate log book and load paperwork, effectively securing all loads, and the ability to throw and tighten straps multiple times per shift. The role also requires the ability to work and drive safely in all weather conditions and during daylight and dark (early morning / early evening) hours. The driver will also manage COD payments.
Requirements
- Must have a current class “B” CDL.
- Clean driving record.
- 2-5 years of heavy haul, local or long haul driving experience.
- Command of English language is a must.
- Ability to read, write and speak effectively.
- Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Basic knowledge of weight and balance.
