About The Position

As a CDL Truck Driver (Class A and/or Class C) for our Distribution division, you will be responsible for the safe, compliant, and timely delivery of goods and/or passengers to business customers. This role may involve operating a variety of commercial vehicles and supporting LTL freight movement and other transportation needs as required.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A license with appropriate endorsements
  • Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • 12 months of verifiable driving experience in the past 3-5 years
  • Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software for ELD and TMS
  • Ability to drive long hours, within Hours Of Service Regulations
  • Extensive knowledge of DOT/FMCSA Regulations
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions
  • Acceptable driving record: no more than 3 violations and 1 preventable accident in 3 years

Nice To Haves

  • Hazmat Certified preferred but not required
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
  • Experience in the use of Liftgates

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the pickup and delivery of goods and/or passengers to businesses, piers, up to and including participation in LTL freight movement and driving duties as needed
  • Operate Class A and/or Class C commercial vehicles in accordance with assigned duties and licensing requirements
  • Collect, verify, and follow delivery instructions to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintain and complete all required documentation (e.g., Proof of Delivery (PODs), fuel receipts, trip records, and other required logs)
  • Maintain consistent on-time pickup and delivery performance in alignment with company service standards and customer expectations
  • Operate vehicles in full compliance with FMCSA regulations (49 CFR Parts 350–399)
  • Maintain accurate Hours of Service (HOS) records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD)
  • Adhere to all DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections daily
  • Immediately report any defects, accidents, or safety violations
  • Safely load and unload cargo, or assist passengers as required
  • Work overtime as needed
