About The Position
Alamos Gold Inc. is seeking a Truck Driver for underground operations at their Island Gold District. This role involves safely transporting materials, maintaining equipment, and adhering to all safety policies. The Island Gold District is one of Canada's largest and lowest-cost gold mines, located in northern Ontario. Requirements
- Grade 12 education
- Must have basic common core modules for underground
- Able to prioritize and organize deliveries and pick-ups to maximize efficiency
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 1 year of U/G experience preferred but not mandatory
Responsibilities
- Safely transport material as directed (ore and waste)
- Ensure material is delivered to proper destinations (Ore and Waste)
- Maintain a clean truck box (clean it daily)
- Safely back haul roadbed for ramp maintenance
- Report equipment location to supervisor accurately
- Report loads of material moved accurately
- Follow all safety policies, procedures and legislation
- Communicate with dispatcher and other haul truck operators through radio communication while travelling the ramp
