About The Position
Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Truck Driver - 2nd Shift at our Troy, IL facility! The core hours are Monday - Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $24.87 per hour, plus a $0.50 shift differential. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Requirements
- A current CDL - Class A
- Successfully pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Participate and comply with DOT-regulated random drug testing requirements.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of materials to and from suppliers, vendors, and local customers.
- Picking up steel coils, completing local deliveries within the Troy and Highland areas, and managing additional pickup or delivery tasks as assigned.
- Operates Truck Unit 20 and utilizes trailers, tarps, and straps to properly secure all loads.
- Maintaining accurate delivery documentation.
- Performing routine vehicle inspections.
- Adhering to all safety and compliance requirements.
- Pick up steel coils from suppliers and vendors.
- Perform local customer deliveries in the Troy and Highland areas.
- Complete miscellaneous deliveries and pickups as needed.
