About The Position

Drives a truck with a capacity of more than 3 tons to transport materials to and from specified destinations. Transports and spots trailers for shipping and receiving, maintains trailers in designated locations, and helps organize and inventory the trailer yard. The role requires an active Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), excellent attendance, and an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the duties. This is a 40-hour-per-week, second-shift position.

Requirements

• Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the duties.
• Excellent attendance.
• Active Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• If the role requires travel or driving to perform its responsibilities, candidates must meet the qualifications in the company’s Driver Management Program.

Responsibilities

• Transports and spots trailers for shipping and receiving.
• Checks vehicle lights, signals, and other equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Maintains loaded and empty trailers in designated locations.
• Ensures heavily loaded trailers are parked on appropriate surfaces.
• Opens trailer doors on all La-Z-Boy trailers.
• Performs CTPAT functions when required.
• Organizes the trailer yard and performs regular inventories.
• Follows health and safety standards.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
