About The Position

Drive specific and designated vehicle to transport and deliver goods, services, equipment and/or materials in liquid, lose, or packaged form in a safe and professional manner in accordance with Sanford's mission, vision, and values. Drive a single vehicle less than 26,001 pounds to transport but requires a Medical Certification card to cross state lines. Combines motor vehicle handling ability and communication skills. Medical information sensitivity and confidentiality are a must, and are practiced at all times. Transports safely and as scheduled. Assures that all support equipment are well maintained and in good operating condition. Sets up equipment according to manufacturer's recommendations and Sanford policy. Maintains appropriate records per Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and Sanford required reports. Aware and communicates scheduling conflicts as needed or predicted.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age to meet auto insurance requirements.
  • Must have an understanding of Department of Transportation (DOT) driver compliance requirements and endorsements.
  • Driver history must comply with Sanford driver qualification standards for insurability.
  • Current valid driver’s license.
  • Must meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category I driver and full compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Must maintain valid DOT medical certification card.
  • If incumbent does not hold required certifications, must obtain with six months of date of hire.
  • Depending on department, Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification may be required upon hire.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
