About The Position

Meyer is seeking an experienced Box Truck Driver to drive company trucks on customer delivery routes and complete required paperwork. The driver works with internal departments to deliver products on time and comply with DOT regulations. The role requires driving 26–28-foot box trucks or other commercial motor vehicles over 10,001 lbs., operating a forklift, and heavy lifting of 75+ lbs.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; end times vary on most days based on workload and coverage. An overnight hotel stay in Kalispell, Montana, is required on either Monday or Thursday, rotated with the team. Pay is $24.00 per hour, with a quarterly driver safety bonus.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of previous experience driving 26–28-foot box trucks or another commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs.
• Valid truck driver license and the relevant endorsement for the specific state.
• Willingness to submit to drug screens and background checks.
• Maintain a valid DOT medical examiner’s card.
• No recent moving or driving violations and ability to remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.
• Ability to operate or drive a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries to customers and meet delivery schedules.
• Maneuver trucks into position to load and unload delivery trucks.
• Comply with truck-driving rules and regulations.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, and perform preventative maintenance.
• Report defects, accidents, and violations.
• Complete paperwork required for company and DOT regulations.
• Communicate with Fleet Management about maintenance issues and preventative maintenance of delivery trucks.
• Operate or drive a forklift.
• Perform heavy lifting of 75+ lbs.
