About The Position

This role is responsible for loading, unloading, and delivering products to customer sites within designated time frames, ensuring safe and efficient routes. The driver will maintain required logs and reports for DOT and Company compliance, and safely handle cargo. Responsibilities include operating a forklift, performing pre- and post-vehicle checks, and assisting with warehouse duties. The position also requires immediate reporting of any incidents and adherence to safety and housekeeping practices. The driver may also back up warehouse or front counter operations as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proven abilities to safely operate a flatbed or box truck.
  • Must meet and pass DOT standards.
  • Ability to successfully pass forklift training and delivery truck driving tests within 30 working days.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift.
  • Ability to safely load/transfer product in a timely manner without causing damage.
  • High level of attention to detail and surroundings.
  • Ability to follow all policies and established practices for branch, driving, and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethics, and integrity.
  • Must be compliant and results-oriented.
  • Dependable and able to work well in a team environment.
  • Establish positive working relationships with employees and customers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills including data entry.
  • Able to multi-task well.
  • Must be reliable and dependable; able to work assigned hours and days.
  • 3 plus consecutive years of driving a commercial vehicle.
  • Current Valid Driver License with excellent driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Nice To Haves

  • 2 plus years of warehouse / logistics experience.
  • Previous training on operating forklifts and delivery trucks is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and deliver products to customer sites safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain required logs and reports for DOT and Company compliance.
  • Safely load, block, brace, and secure cargo.
  • Operate forklift safely and efficiently for product transfer, loading, and unloading.
  • Perform pre-check and post-check operations of company vehicles and forklifts.
  • Perform warehouse duties, ensuring accurate product and quantity.
  • Notify manager immediately of any accidents, damage, or violations.
  • Follow good housekeeping and safety practices.
  • Act as warehouse and/or front counter backup as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
