About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Truck Driver - 2nd Shift at our Troy, IL facility! The core hours are Monday - Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $24.87 per hour, plus a $0.50 shift differential. The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of materials to and from suppliers, vendors, and local customers. Primary duties include picking up steel coils, completing local deliveries within the Troy and Highland areas, and managing additional pickup or delivery tasks as assigned. This position operates Truck Unit 20 and utilizes trailers, tarps, and straps to properly secure all loads. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate delivery documentation, performing routine vehicle inspections, and adhering to all safety and compliance requirements. A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.

Requirements

A current CDL - Class A
Successfully pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
Participate and comply with DOT-regulated random drug testing requirements.
Reside within a 50-mile radius of Troy, IL (Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from this limitation).

Responsibilities

Pick up steel coils from suppliers and vendors
Perform local customer deliveries in the Troy and Highland areas
Complete miscellaneous deliveries and pickups as needed
Maintain accurate delivery documentation
Perform routine vehicle inspections
Adhere to all safety and compliance requirements
Operate Truck Unit 20 and utilize trailers, tarps, and straps to properly secure all loads
