About The Position

This position will deliver products via semi-truck to multiple locations. The driver will drive gasoline or diesel-powered tractor-trailer combinations with a capacity of more than 3 tons to transport and deliver corrugated products. This role requires driving to destinations, applying knowledge of area roads, commercial driving regulations, and skill in maneuvering the vehicle in difficult situations. The driver will maintain communication with dispatch for delivery instructions, inspect truck equipment and supplies before and after trips, and maintain a driver log according to state and federal regulations. Additionally, the driver will position wheel chocks to secure the truck during unloading and may assist workers in loading and unloading the truck. Ensuring Food safety, Quality, HACCP, and GMP are always followed is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

• DOT Approved Class A License
• Industrial Truck Operator Certificate
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Responsibilities

• Drive gasoline or diesel-powered tractor-trailer combination with capacity of more than 3 tons, to transport and deliver corrugated products
• Drive truck to destination, applying knowledge of area roads, commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations, such as narrow passageways
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with dispatcher to receive delivery instructions
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition/defects
• Maintain driver log according to state and federal regulations
• Position wheel chocks secure truck during unloading
• May assist workers in loading and unloading truck
• Ensures and supports to make sure Food safety, Quality, HACCP and GMP is always followed
